Smarties Private Tutoring is a comprehensive English and Maths tutoring service for primary school children, focusing on the learning needs of the individual student. Founder, Gilly Lynch, has been teaching in primary classrooms across the UK and Australia for twenty-five years and now provides one-to-one private tuition to students needing explicit learning support. Each session provides hands-on equipment for a multisensory learning experience, encouraging and valuing the learning style of each individual student. 

Gilly is trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach to learning which supports students with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

At Smarties Private Tutoring, we are passionate about helping primary school aged students with literacy and mathematical learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia and dyscalculia.

Programs are based on a one-on-one teacher-student instructional model designed to have a direct, explicit and structured approach.

Sessions are imaginative, engaging and sequential and use a range of multisensory strategies and resources. 

Whilst the Orton-Gillingham Approach was originally designed for students with dyslexia, the approach can successfully be suited to any students with literacy or mathematical difficulties.
